Hackers to Sony: 'Very Wise' to Cancel 'The Interview'

Threads of this story are popping out all over the place and here’s the latest: CNN reported that an email, purportedly from the hackers, was sent to top Sony execs following the decision to pull The Interview, calling it a “very wise decision”. The email went on to imply that as long as the movie was kept out of theaters and elsewhere, the attacks would end, but implied a new threat that if the movie was released on VOD or otherwise, that the threats would continue.

Our sources confirm that such a missive was received by Sony Pictures Entertainment Amy Pascal and CEO Michael Lynton, but it’s unclear how it will impact events going forward.
