'Goosebumps' Trailer: Watch Monsters Leap Off R.L. Stine's Book Pages!
It’s the attack of the garden gnomes! And lots of other, scarier creatures leaping from the pages of R.L. Stine’s popular books in the exclusive first trailer (above) for Goosebumps.
A spin on Stine’s best-selling children’s books from the '90s, Goosebumps is finally coming big screen in 3D this Halloween season. Jack Black stars as Stine, the eccentric dad of Hannah (Odeya Rush, The Giver). Their new neighbor, Zach (Dylan Minnette, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day), grows concerned for Hannah’s safety when he hears her screams next door. When they attempt to come the rescue, Zach and his pal wind up accidentally unleashing the monsters of Stine’s books.
The next thing you know, they’re evading the so-called Abominable Snowman of Pasadena (1:06), running from an invisible boy (at the 1:27 mark), defending themselves against a bunch of clacking gnomes (1:38), taking down a werewolf with a silver filling (1:42), and dealing with a whole slew of other nasties.
Will they be able to corral every last one of Stine’s creatures back into the books where they belong? We’ll find out when Goosebumps books start opening in theaters, in 3D, Oct. 16
