Giants Win Keeps ‘Monday Night Football’ Ratings Steady; ‘The Voice’ Tops Big 4, ‘2 Broke Girls’ Down

It was a pretty steady Monday on the Big 4 last night, with The Voice (2.3/8) topping things as it did last week with the same rating. On ESPN, it was almost even-steven too with the New York Giants’ 21-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals scoring a 7.9 metered market result for Monday Night Football. That is up a tick over the Seattle Seahawks’ win over the Buffalo Bills on November 7.

With that result, the Disney-owned sports cable giant looks poised to win the night overall while NBC, which saw an NFL pre-emption on its Cincinnati affiliate, will be No. 1 among the Big 4 again with a 2.0/6 rating and 8.35 million viewers – again, basically steady with last week. Back after being pre-empted last week for The 2016 SNL Election Special, Timeless (1.2/4) is currently up a tenth from its last original.

The NFL also pre-empted the CW lineup of Supergirl (0.8/3) and Jane The Virgin (0.5/2) in the mega-New York market, so those results are tentative today. As it is right now, both shows are up a tenth from the final numbers November 7. Also up a tenth from last week is Fox’s Lucifer (1.1/4) and ABC’s Dancing With The Stars (1.7/5), while the former’s lead-in Gotham is the same and the latter’s lead-out Conviction (0.8/3) is up 33% in the key demo.

Might be a bit of a nervous giggle over at CBS as the House of Moonves saw all its Monday comedies move down. After seeing solid rises last week, Kevin Can Wait (1.6/7) dropped a tenth last night as did Man With A Plan (1.3/5). Falling 14% among the 18-49s, it was 2 Broke Girls (1.2/4) that saw the night’s biggest decline, while The Odd Couple (1.0/4) is currently even with last week’s final numbers. With all that, CBS ended the night on an upswing as Scorpion (1.2/4) rose a tenth from its Election Eve show.
