Surprise! George Clooney sent fans into hysterics when he surprised everyone and crashed Disney’s Tomorrowland panel at Comic-Con in New York City on Thursday, Oct. 9.

Looking tan and handsome as always, an eyewitness tells Us Weekly that the newlywed took the stage alongside costars Hugh Laurie and Britt Robertson to reveal a first look at the upcoming sci-fi fantasy adventure.

"It’s not lost on me that I’m spending my honeymoon at Comic-Con," Clooney cracked. "My wife was as confused about what Comic-Con was as you are," he added of his lawyer love Amal Alamuddin.

After declaring it his first Comic-Con, the actor joked about his less-than-celebrated foray into the comic universe as Batman in 1997’S Batman & Robin: “Since my Batman I’d been disinvited from Comic-Con for about 15 years — sorry about the nipples on the suit.” Comedian Chris Hardwick then told the crowd to settle down, exclaiming, “Sorry, he’s married now!”

Clooney and Alamuddin said “I do” over a long weekend of festivities in Venice, Italy, which concluded on Sept. 27. Following their nuptials, the pair enjoyed a staycation honeymoon in their new home in England.

Tomorrowland follows an inventor, played by Clooney, who teams with a teenage boy genius to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory. The film, directed by Brad Bird, is due out in 2015.
