'Frozen' World Returns to Movie Theaters With New Short 'Frozen Fever'

Disney’s mega-hit Frozen earned $1.27 billion worldwide at the box office. It also spawned a bonanza of books, toys, and clothing, as well as an arena ice-dancing tour, theme park attractions, and endless references to the Oscar-winning song “Let it Go.”

Now, the fairytale kingdom of Arendelle is headed back to the big screen. Disney has released a first look video above of the new short Frozen Fever, which will run ahead of the studio’s live-action version of Cinderella when it premieres in theaters on March 13.

The short, as directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee explain, concerns a birthday party that Princess Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven are throwing for Princess Anna. Unfortunately, Elsa has a cold, which probably leads to some powerful gusts of frozen germs, complicating the whole affair.

Another potential complication? Olaf’s love of cake.
