'The Fantastic Mr. Foxcatcher' is a Creepy-Charming Trailer Mashup
Wes Anderson has never seemed so sinister.
You wouldn’t think a stop motion animated film based on a beloved children’s book would mash up so well with a grim psychodrama based on a real-life murder case. But YouTuber Jonathan Hartwig’s excellent mash-up of Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox and Bennett Miller’s new Oscar contender Foxcatcher proves otherwise.
With Badger (a character originally voiced by Bill Murray) standing in for Steve Carell’s über creepy John du Pont and Mr. Fox (originally voiced by George Clooney) becoming the tiny avatar for Channing Tatum’s Mark Schultz, the new trailer really nails the ominous tone of Foxcatcher while still managing to be super charming.
