Meredith Milton is joining Fox Searchlight as SVP of production effective immediately, reporting to co-heads of production Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum. Prior to Fox Searchlight, Milton oversaw her own indie producing venture, developing a slate with such talent as Scott Burns, Alex Gibney, Anne Hathaway, John Pollano, Jonathan Levine, Josh Radnor and Adam Shankman. She also spent 12 years between Summit and Lionsgate, rising from director of development at Summit to EVP of development at Lionsgate following the two companies’ merger. There she shepherded the Step Up franchise, Draft Day, Letters to Juliet, and The Age of Adaline. Milton also developed and sold a Step Up TV series to YouTube Red.
“We are thrilled to welcome Meredith to the Searchlight team. Her reputation as a brilliant, passionate and collaborative executive and producer precedes her. We are lucky to have her and know she will greatly add to Searchlight’s rich legacy,” said Greenfield and Greenbaum in a statement.
“I have long admired Fox Searchlight’s ability to seek out great filmmakers and bring their unique visions to the screen. I’m thrilled to join the Searchlight team, and look forward to finding and nurturing the next generation of great storytellers,” added Milton.
Milton cut her teeth as an assistant at the William Morris Agency. She’s a cum laude graduate of Princeton University with a BA in English.
