On screen, the six-bedroom brick house was inhabited by the Baker family, who filled the house with many hectic wedding plans and annoying relatives. But don’t expect to step back into the ’80s if you aim to fill the northwest Evanston, Illinois, property with your own bothersome family — the current owners gave the house an up-to-date remodeling, including a new kitchen, updated baths, an outdoor terrace, and modern decorations.

Listing agent Jill Blabolil told ABC News, “We’ve had serious interest and people that just want to come through because it was their favorite movie.”

Sixteen Candles, John Hughes’s directorial debut, endures as an ’80s favorite that made stars out of Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall. Ringwald played Sam, an insecure teen who suffers through multiple embarrassing moments on her birthday. Now teens can occupy Sam’s cute, little bedroom where they can stress over their appearance and boys well into the 21st century.
