First Listen: J.Lo's Heart-Warming, Hip-Shaking 'Home' Track (Exclusive)
When Jennifer Lopez isn’t cheering on equality for women at the Oscars or seeking the next American Idol, she can be found hanging in a recording booth. Here, exclusively on Yahoo Movies, is a sampling of J.Lo’s new single, “Feel the Light,” which will be featured in the upcoming animated movie Home.
The pop star has a deep connection to the project. The film is based on the 2007 children’s sci-fi novel The True Meaning of Smekday, in which a leading alien character calls himself “J.Lo.” Aside from contributing the soundtrack, Lopez voices one of the characters.
This preview also features insights into the DreamWorks Animation film from Jim Parsons, who plays an alien outcast named Oh, and Rihanna, who gives voice to teen earthling Tip. Lopez plays Tip’s mom, Lucy, in the story of a planet-less alien race called the Boov that decides to colonize Earth.
Home touches down in theaters March 27.
