FilmSharks Closes Pacts (EXCLUSIVE)

FilmSharks Intl. Guido Rud has unveiled deals for remakes, underscoring the growing demand for local versions of foreign-language hits.

Building on a Mexican remake deal with Spectrum Films, unveiled March, Korean Soo Film, in association with South Korea’s M-Line, has bought Korean remake rights to Brazilian hit comedy franchise “Upside Down,” while China’s New Classics Media has optioned the remake rights “A Boyfriend for My Wife” and laffer “Just Like Me” from Mexico’s Spectrum Films.

Filmsharks will shortly close on U.S. and Mexican remake deals on swinging couples comedy “2 + 2,” (pictured) like “Wife” and “Me” a film co-produced by Disney-backed Patagonik and starring TV exec-actor-producer Adrian Suar.
