Exclusive 'Southpaw' Trailer: Jake Gyllenhaal Is Ready to Rumble

Jake Gyllenhaal is lacing up his gloves for Southpaw’s opening round. The boxing drama from Training Day director Antoine Fuqua opens in theaters this Friday, July 24.

In this exclusive trailer above, catch snippets of the film set to some of Eminem’s “Kings Never Die,” featuring Gwen Stefani. “The truth is I’m hanging on by a thread,” says Gyllenhaal as Billy Hope, a boxing champ searching for a second chance after his life falls apart. We see glimpses of Rachel MacAdams as Hope’s wife, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as his manager, and Forest Whitaker as the grizzled trainer who helps Hope with his comeback.
