Even a country queen can suffer from stage fright.
With four decades of experience under her belt, Reba McEntire admits to still getting the pre-show jitters -- but she wouldn't have it any other way!
"I still get nervous when I go on stage, especially if I've got a new outfit on [or] if it's a new song and I'm worried about remembering the words," the "Fancy" singer says in an exclusive clip from MasterClass. "But it's the adrenaline that I get that I really like. Not only are you nervous, but you're excited to go back out there and see, 'Are they gonna like this new outfit? How about this new song?'"
Reba is sharing her secrets to success in a brand new MasterClass titled Reba McEntire Teaches Country Music, available now.
"For the first time, I'm getting to offer up what I believe makes a killer song, my vocal techniques and some tidbits I've experienced throughout my career," the 61-year-old superstar shared in a press release. "Country music is relatable music. It's all about how people live, day in and day out ... it's their life stories. I hope that my MasterClass encourages people along in their own adventure in music."
In ET's exclusive clip above, Reba encourages students to channel their "nervous energy" into a killer performance.
"For anybody who's watching, dreading live performances because of nerves, accept that as a gift," she says. "Turn that into anticipation. The adrenaline that you get from that nervousness, make that positive. Make good out of bad. Always, kind of, flip that into a more positive attitude."
Reba joins an impressive roster of musicians that have already lent their talents to the MasterClass program, including Usher and Christina Aguilera.
Earlier this year, Christina told ET that teaching came "naturally" to her. "I'm a mom, too, so it's like, I like to see people succeed and I like to see people do well."
