See All of Dwayne Johnson's Craziest Cameos

We all know Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as a wrestling legend–turned–internationally beloved movie star. But it wasn’t such an immediate transition from People’s Champion to box-office titan.

Between the time he began his non-WWE acting career in 1999 and when he became a legit Hollywood leading man (somewhere between 2009’s Race to Witch Mountain and 2011’s Fast Five), Johnson more than paid his dues, as you can see in the video above.

First, there were the self-referential parts: A Pendari wrestler in the series Star Trek: Voyager, a wrestler with an impressive Afro who predicts great things for his son in That ‘70s Show, and a brute of a warrior in the movie The Scorpion King.

Then, it was on to expanding his range and showing off his comedic chops. Playing against his massive musculature, he let a young Miley Cyrus paint his nails in a 2007 episode of Hannah Montana (to complement his well-groomed People’s Eyebrow, of course), romanced Janet Jackson in Why Did I Get Married Too, and costarred as a bumbling SWAT team member in the Reno! 911 movie. (As you’ll see, that role didn’t work out so well for him.)

Now, of course, you can see the Rock almost any time you turn on your TV, as well as on the big screen on April 3, when he returns as DSS agent Hobbes in Furious 7.
