The box office numbers prove fans can’t get enough from the Fast and Furious franchise.

With Furious 7 earning more than $1 billion worldwide, what’s the likelihood of an eighth installment? Dwayne Johnson told Access Hollywood it’s been discussed.

“Vin and I were talking the other day and we think the best thing [is] to probably create a little bit of space. Let’s let people enjoy Furious 7, and we’ll see,” he told Liz Hernandez at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. “It would be a great challenge to do Fast 8.”

Adding, “But we’re up for the challenge if we decide to go down that road.”

For his part, Dwayne said he’d be happy to revisit his character Hobbs.

“I love the franchise. I have a blast doing that franchise,” he said. “The character, the fun — the fun I have is off the charts.”
