Disney's 'Snow White' Is Coming Soon to Digital Platforms and Blu-ray (Exclusive)

It’s hard to believe that the Disney fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is nearly 80 years old. The first-ever animated feature, it set the template for decades of films to come and still remains one of the most popular animated movies of all time.

On Jan. 19, Snow White is coming to Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere for the first time ever and will be released in a new Blu-ray combo pack Feb. 2. All of these formats feature new bonus material, including commentary from Walt Disney himself, and a never-before-seen alternate sequence of the Prince meeting Snow White. The release also marks the debut of The Walt Disney Signature Collection, denoting feature films created or inspired by the late animation mastermind.

The 1937 animated classic follows a young princess who escapes the clutches of her vain stepmother, the evil Queen, and finds refuge with seven woodland dwarves. The movie took nearly three years to make and went over budget several times in order to keep up with Walt Disney’s perfectionist ideals, but the hard work paid off and put Walt Disney Productions on the map.
