Disney to Pitch ‘Million Dollar Arm’ into Theaters in May 2014

Disney will pitch baseball drama “Million Dollar Arm” into theaters on May 16, 2014.

Craig Gillespie (pictured) (“Lars and the Real Girl”) is directing the film, based on a script by Tom McCarthy (“Win Win”), about real-life sports agent Jeff Bernstein who discovered professional pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel through a reality show he staged in India with cricket players.

Cast includes Jon Hamm, Alan Arkin and Allyn Rachel.

Mayhem Pictures and Roth Films are producing with shooting set for Mumbai, India and Atlanta.
