'Deadpool' Wraps Production, Ryan Reynolds Is 'Trashed and Hungry,' but Grateful

Deadpool in action on set (Flameflynet Pictures)

That’s a wrap for Wade Wilson! Ryan Reynolds took to social media Friday to let the world know that the Vancouver production of his highly anticipated superhero flick Deadpool is in the can.

Reynolds also posted a message on his Facebook page, telling fans that he is “bruised, battered, trashed and hungry. But above all, grateful. This film was made because of YOU. We squeezed every last drop of blood outta this thing — and now the fun begins.”

Early intel on most high-profile comic-book adaptations typically comes via paparazzi snaps and fan-shot videos (see: Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman). Reynolds though, has been a one-man media army over the course of Deadpool’s two-month shoot. He’s tweeted sexy fireside snaps and inappropriate Mother’s Day tributes, Facebook'ed behind-the-scenes shots, and Instagram'ed touching pics with young fans who visited the set.

So don’t be surprised if you see him pop up in the red suit a few more times over the next nine months or so. Deadpool opens Feb. 12, 2016.
