Daniel Webber, Eliza Taylor to Star in Police Drama ‘Thumper’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Daniel Webber and Eliza Taylor will star in the independent police drama “Thumper,” Variety has learned.

Lena Headey, Jazzy De Lisser, Brett Rice and Ben Feldman are also starring in the film. Fernando Loureiro and Roberto Vasconcellos are producing with Cary Fukunaga executive producing.

Jordan Ross is directing from a script he co-wrote with Matt Michnovetz. Production on the project is scheduled to start in May.

Taylor will play an undercover police officer out to bust a drug ring at a local high school by pretending to be a tough new girl. She becomes emotionally involved with the underprivileged students she’s investigating.

Webber will portray a slightly insecure high schooler who becomes smitten with her while getting caught up in drug dealing so he can escape poverty. Heady will play the mother of his character.

Webber plays Lee Harvey Oswald in J.J. Abrams’ time-travel mini series “11.22.63” for Warner Bros. and Hulu, based on the thriller novel “11/22/63” by Stephen King. Webber co-stars opposite James Franco, Chris Cooper, Sarah Gordon and Cherry Jones. He can next be seen in “Teenage Kicks.”

Taylor is best know for her lead role as Clarke Griffin in the CW series “The 100.”

Webber is represented by WME, Industry Entertainment, Sophie Jermyn Management, and Attorney Tara Kole. Taylor is repped by CAA and Roar.
