50 Cent Conjures 'Maleficent' for Jimmy Kimmel
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson hasn’t had the most successful movie career so far — but maybe he just needs a new direction? On Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, the multi-talented rapper put his own spin and some extra swag on Maleficent, the Disney villainess currently dominating the box office. The Malefiftycent trailer (tagline: “Get Witch or Die Tryin’”) swaps out Angelina Jolie for Jackson, who cackles, “This s—- just got magical!” as he conjures a wall of thorns with his bare hands.
Fiddy actually has multiple projects coming up including the Starz cable drama Power, about a drug dealer trying to go legit, and supporting roles in the action films The Prince with Bruce Willis and Vengeance with Danny Trejo, as well as the Paul Feig comedy Spy. So maybe visualizing himself in a hit is the first step to actually having one. As Jackson joked to Kimmel, “[Malefiftycent] ain’t going to no Red Box.” He better hurry up though: He’s not the only one who’s got an idea for a sequel.
