Cirque du Soleil will resume performances of "Ka" in Las Vegas on Tuesday night, 17 days after a cast member fell to her death during the show, according to a company spokesperson.
The final aerial battle scene, which saw 31-year-old performer Sarah Guillot-Guyard fall 90-feet to her death, will no longer be a part of the show. Instead, a "dressing-ritual" scene will be put in its place. The new finale will continue the storyline and leave the show's 90-minute length unchanged.
Coroner's officials have ruled that the Paris-born Guillot-Guyard's death by blunt force trauma was an accident. She was still in her harness when she fell.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has launched an investigation, which could take six months.
"Ka" will resume with a modified schedule with shows starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The regular schedule, also featuring late shows at 9:30 p.m., will resume July 23.
Tuesday night's show will be dedicated to the late performer's memory.
