Christopher Lloyd Talks Fourth 'Back to the Future' Movie, Reunites With Michael J. Fox

So, who wants a Back to the Future Part IV movie? Christopher Lloyd most definitely does. When asked by the Hollywood Reporter if he’d reprise his role as Doc in a fourth film, Lloyd said “I would love to play Doc again, no question.”

He went on to say, “I can’t see doing another sequel without Michael J. Fox as Marty. I would certainly want Bob Zemeckis directing it, Bob Gale writing it, and the other principals being involved.”

So basically, it would have to be a perfect lightning storm for this to come together. But as far as him returning to playing Doc, it’s pretty evident that Lloyd never stopped playing Doc Brown. He voiced Doc in such projects as the Back to the Future video game; commercials for Lego, Nike, and DirecTV; and a cameo in A Million Ways to Die in the West — along with a commercial for its Blu-ray release.

But guys, even if you’re 100 percent against a Back to the Future Part IV, like we are, and the director is, and most of the cast is … there is a pretty adorable short that Toyota teased in which Lloyd and Fox ponder all the things Back to the Future Part II predicted would happen in 2015.
