Watch Lacey Chabert Find Religion (and Love) in the Trailer for 'Christian Mingle'
Christian Mingle isn’t just a dating website: it’s feature film, a floor wax, and a dessert topping! Okay, just kidding about those last two. But there is indeed a new movie based on the Jesus-centric dating service.
In this trailer for the romantic comedy Christian Mingle, Lacey Chabert (best known for playing Gretchen Wieners in Mean Girls) is a successful businesswoman who just can’t find a man. Guess where all the good ones are hiding?
Predictably, Chabert’s character gets sucked in by the Christian Mingle slogan: “Find God’s Match For You.” She’s not a Christian, but like many rom-com heroines before her, she decides that one lie is a small price to pay for love. Sure enough, she meets the man of her dreams, and he’s a devout believer. Will she be able to keep up her Christian charade? Will Bible-based hijinks ensue? Will Chabert be transformed from a jaded skeptic into a singing-and-clapping believer? This trailer answers all of these questions!
Christian Mingle co-stars Morgan Fairchild and Jonathan Patrick Moore, and was written and directed by actor Corbin Bernsen (Major League, Psych), who produces faith-based movies under the banner Home Theater Films. The film comes to theaters this October.
