Someone get Thor a sandwich.

Chris Hemsworth posted this shot of himself while filming In The Heart Of The Sea, that shows him sporting the whole marooned seafarer look.

With a wild, lion’s mane of hair and the kind of deep tan you can only get from being lost at sea, the Australian star is impressively unrecognizable.

Here he is in his full-length glory:

“Just tried a new diet/training program called “Lost At Sea”. Wouldn’t recommend it,” he wrote in a Twitter post.

He still looks pretty buff though, to be fair.

Here he is in a slightly less hungry scene from the movie:

Hemsworth stars in the upcoming Ron Howard-directed epic that tells the true story of the sinking of the whaling ship Essex in 1820.

It was the story that inspired Herman Melville to write Moby-Dick in 1851.

During the ship’s voyage, it is sunk after being rammed by a giant sperm whale, leaving the crew shipwrecked at sea for 90 days and resorting to cannibalism.

The movie also stars Cillian Murphy, Benjamin Walker, Tom Holland, Brendan Gleeson, Frank Dillane and Ben Whishaw as Melville. It’s due in theaters on Dec. 11.
