Channing Tatum gave the Reddit AMA a whirl
Many a Magic Mike fan has fantasized about getting a lap dance from Channing Tatum — but which actor occupies Tatum’s private-dancer dreams? In his Reddit AMA yesterday, Tatum was asked which of his Magic Mike XXL co-stars he’d pick for a lap dance. His answer: former pro wrestler Kevin Nash.
“I am not even joking about this. Kevin Nash. I’ve always wanted to know what it feels like to be tiny in his arms and thrown around,” Tatum told an inquiring fan.
Here are a few more fun facts from Tatum’s AMA, which he did to raise awareness of his Omaze campaign:
He would turn down the role of James Bond. “It would be a very hard turndown,” Tatum admits.”‘But i don’t know. There is a very strong strong voice inside that tells me James Bond probably should always be a true United Kingdomer… it shouldn’t be an American putting on an English accent.”
One of his formative moviegoing experiences was the 1984 breakdance film Breakin’. “My mom said after the movie I started trying to do headstands. My mom said i mortified my sister,” Tatum recalls.
His favorite Disney character of all time is from Fantasia. It’s “the broom.” But which broom?
If he could play someone from history, he’d pick Genghis Khan. However, Tatum is aware that John Wayne played Khan in 1956’s The Conqueror, with notorious results: “It wasn’t such a good idea I think.”
He thinks you’ve seen Step Up too many times. “I guess you need to see it as many times as it takes you to realize how bad my acting is in it,” says Tatum. “And fast forward to the dancing parts after that.”
