Carlos Alazraqui has replaced Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo in the voice cast of animated comedy “Free Birds” from Relativity and Reel FX.

Alazraqui will have a supporting role in the voice cast along with Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Amy Poehler, Lesley Nicol George Takei, Dan Fogler, Colm Meaney and Keith David. His credits include voicing characters in “Toy Story 3″ and “Happy Feet Two” along with acting in “Reno 911.”

Sotelo hosted the nationally syndicated “Piolin por la Manana” radio program until Univision let him go July 22 after an employee made allegations of sexually harassment. Sotelo has denied the allegations.

“Free Birds” is directed by Jimmy Hayward and set for release on Nov. 1 with Scott Mosier producing. The story follows two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks who put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to get turkey off the holiday menu.

The story is by David I. Stern and John J. Strauss. Mosier and Hayward wrote the screenplay.
