Seth Rogen and James Franco Try to Hack it as Journalists in an Exclusive Clip from 'The Interview'

Call off the FBI on this one. This early footage from The Interview — which you can watch above — is totally legit, and you can only see it on Yahoo Movies.

In the scene, James Franco — playing cheeseball TV personality Dave Skylark — tries to convince his partner (played by Seth Rogen), to pursue an on-air interview with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un. Comparing himself to Frodo Baggins, Franco uses a manipulative Lord of the Rings analogy to turn his nerdy producer on to the idea.

It looks like they’re going for the biggest interview of their careers. But real-life chats with Rogen and Franco have been apparently put on hold amid the ever-burgeoning Sony hacking incident that some have suspected is connected to the very same North Korean dictatorship spoofed by The Interview. We’re guessing they won’t be quite as quiet when The Interview opens on Christmas Day.
