Throughout the course of eight films, Daniel Radcliffe’s boy wizard Harry Potter enlisted the aid of numerous allies in his battle against the malevolent Lord Voldemort. Speaking on BBC Radio 2 to host Simon Mayo (via Uproxx) on his book tour for new memoir Born to Run, Bruce Springsteen mentioned that he actually penned a song to be used in one of the Harry Potter films, but that it never made the cut. And according to Springsteen, the track, “I’ll Stand by You Always,” remains something he’d like to find a home for.

“It was pretty good. It was a song that I wrote for my eldest son, it was a big ballad that was very uncharacteristic of something I’d sing myself. But it was something that I thought would have fit lovely; at some point I’d like to get it into a children’s movie of some sort because it was a pretty lovely song.”
