There's a reason he's called "Odd Thomas."
In the upcoming adaptation of Dean Koontz's bestseller, Anton Yelchin ("Star Trek") plays the young short-order cook whose name is actually Odd Thomas (there was an error on his birth certificate). But it's an appropriate name because he can see the dead. He discovers his small desert down is beset with invisible demons called "bodachs" which foretell the coming of a catastrophe, and he's the only man who can stop it.
