Watch out, Jimmy Stewart.
Tyler Perry is looking to throw his/her hat in the holiday-favorite ring with "Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas," in which the director's feisty female alter ego returns for the screen for the eighth time.
And this time -- Perry's first Christmas outing -- the actor-writer-director faces off against another comedy star with a big ol' fan army all his own: the "Blue Collar" comic Larry the Cable Guy.
As you can see in this exclusive trailer premiere from Yahoo Movies, it's a new (holi)day but same old Madea as the wise-cracking, pistol-packing old timer takes on a department store Santa's chair and the joys (or lack thereof) of farming.
Perry meets his unlikely collaborator Larry when Madea is invited to the rural home of her best friend Eileen's (Anna Maria Horsford) daughter Lacey's (Tika Sumpter) new beau.
Spoiler alert: He's white.
Also making their debuts in Perryland are "One Tree Hill" alum Chad Michael Murray, who plays Lacey's object of affection, and "Hocus Pocus" star Kathy Najimy as his mother. Mr. Cable Guy plays the patriarch of the country clan, natch.
"Did you hear the one about the two rabbis and the black dude?," Larry's Buddy asks Madea in an attempt to break the ice.
"Did you hear the one about the stray bullet that killed the redneck for telling the story about the two rabbis and the black dude?," Madea fires back.
Awww, snap. It's gonna be a festive Christmas in Madea-ville.
"Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas" opens wide Dec. 13.
