Weird Oscars trend: unisex stringy blond hair

Long, kind of lifeless, kind of stringy blond hair. It was the look of the night. And not just the women.

Jennifer Aniston and Barbra Steisand both wore their hair long with a part, and it wasn't especially flattering on either of them. Babs' dye job in particular wasn't doing her any favors. But the two usually fabulous ladies weren't alone in letting their hair down tonight.

Three winners of the technical awards earlier in the night were rocking the long metal hair. Sound editors Paul N. J. Ottosson and Per Hallberg shared the award for with the unique tie for "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Skyfall," and they shared similarly combed-back, shoulder-length dos. And cinematographer Claudio Miranda had hair that was lighter and longer than anybody else on the Oscar stage.
