Hollywood to Celebrate Bill Clinton’s Birthday

Bill Clinton is well-known for his A-list friends and collaborators. There are photos of him smiling next to Jennifer Lopez, engaged in conversation with Brad Pitt, shaking hands with Jessica Alba, and deep in conversation with Matt Damon. Undoubtedly, more than a few of those famous friends will be on hand for his 65th birthday celebration -- especially when the party involves a good cause and a good show.

His birthday gala, "A Decade of Difference: A Concert Celebrating 10 Years of the William J. Clinton Foundation," will take place on October 15 at the Hollywood Bowl. Lady Gaga, Bono, The Edge, and Usher will take the stage (along with special guests that haven't been announced yet). No hints as to what they'll be performing, but we can only hope that all those artists join each other for a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration. Whatever happens, you can watch it unfold live on Yahoo! (and nowhere else). Head to clintonconcert.yahoo.com for more details.

The show will benefit the William J. Clinton Foundation, which works to improve global health, strengthen economies worldwide, promote healthier childhoods, and protect the environment.

"I am proud that some of today's most influential performers are coming together to raise awareness about the work of my Foundation," said President Bill Clinton. "In the past decade, commitments to my Clinton Global Initiative have improved the lives of more than 300 million people around the world. We've lowered the cost of AIDS and HIV treatment, combated climate change, strengthened economies, increased access to education and healthcare, provided financing and mentoring for small businesses. This celebration marks ten years of these efforts and demonstrates how much we can do to make a difference in the years ahead."
