Movie Talk‘Fast Five,’ ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ Air Super Bowl Spots
Super Bowl Sunday saw two fierce competitors in peak physical condition face off against each other. Of course, I'm speaking of Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson in the commercial for their movie, "Fast Five." The fifth chapter in the "Fast and Furious" franchise, the movie features Diesel and Paul Walker on the run in Rio de Janeiro as they are pursued by a federal agent played by Johnson. Naturally, the spot featured many high-performance automobiles doing ridiculously dangerous stunts. If you want to watch it again, or you just missed it the first time, take a look:
Earlier in the day, director Jon Favreau gave his 900,000 followers on Twitter a special treat: an early look at the Super Bowl ad for his next movie, "Cowboys & Aliens." Starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Olivia Wilde, the movie pits gunslingers from the Old West against a force of extraterrestrial invaders. In the new spot, we get our first good look at the alien spacecraft: low-flying, highly maneuverable ships with ten rib-like wings.
