Eddie Murphy Has the Craziest Idea for a Movie With Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle

It sure is something seeing Eddie Murphy everywhere all of a sudden; this guy really wants "Tower Heist" to succeed, apparently. He can talk all he wants about how he hasn't been hiding in his house for the last 15 years, but the guy has always been hesitant to go through the promotional rigmarole of junkets and press conferences and local TV inanity. (We absolutely understand this.) Now, though, he'll do anything. We're fully expecting him to cameo as the mother in "How I Met Your Mother." Surprise!

Anyway, now that the hard copy of Rolling Stone is on newsstands -- so we don't have to just link to that series of paragraphs -- some more bits are coming out. There's one particularly crazy one: The movie he claims to be writing, starring him and Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle. Check this out:

"I still want to do something like that," Murphy says, adding that he had Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan and Martin Lawrence all lined up for that first incarnation of Tower Heist. "I have this idea called Jamal and Tyrell and Omar and Brick and Michael's Wack-Ass Weekend about this group of guys who get abducted by aliens on the way to the fights. I'm writing that now."

Ha! "This group of guys who get abducted by aliens on the way to the fights." What does that even mean? This sounds amazing. By the way, Murphy has written two screenplays in his life: 1989's "Harlem Nights" and "Norbit." We cannot wait. (Note: We can totally wait.)
