The search for the 2014 Golden Globes hosting gig is over before it ever began. The hilarious duo of Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell tore it up while presenting the Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture – Comedy Or Musical, cracking up both the room's A-list stars and the Twitter audience.

The two former "Saturday Night Live" stars were laugh-out-loud hilarious as they crept out on stage appearing wide-eyed and awed by their surroundings. Wiig uttered a few "oh-my-goshes," while Ferrell craned his head around like a curious puppy.

"The Golden Globes has asked if each presenter would watch all of the films in their category to have an appreciation of these amazing performances … which I did," Ferrell said. "I totally watched them."

Did Wiig also watch, he asked. "Ye-es. Yes! Not a big deal."

They began (incorrectly) recapping each performance, from Emily Blunt in "Salmon Fishing in Yemen" to Jennifer Lawrence in "Silver Linings Playbook."

"Judi Dench. Where did she come from? Unknown!" Ferrell exclaimed while reading the nominees' names.

Then there was "Mariel Streep." (To which the camera cut to her co-star, a stone-faced Tommy Lee Jones. Guess he was not amused.)

"Those are amazing movies," Wiig noted after the real announcement of the nominees.

Ferrell agreed. "Yeah. None of those clips looked familiar to me."

The category's winner ended up being Jennifer Lawrence, but the Golden Globes ceremony winners are most certainly Wiig and Ferrell. Check out the Twitterverse reaction.
