Benicio del Toro, who just last week the head of Universal said "stunk" in the studio's "Wolfman," is getting close to playing the bad guy in the "Star Trek" sequel. Sources say del Toro doesn't know the particulars of what his villain character will be. We hope this means he'll end up being the Penguin.  [Showblitz/Variety]

Jean Dujardin is soon going to be a bit of a big deal once more people get to see him in "The Artist," and he's just signed up for "Mobius," where he'll play a spy on the trail of a money-launderer. We wish the spy Dujardin was playing was the same one from the "OSS 117" films. Love that guy. [Variety]

Indie film fans know Dean Norris as the state trooper who pulls over the family in "Little Miss Sunshine." People who can afford cable (or DVD rentals) know him as Hank Schrader in "Breaking Bad." (We guess he just likes being involved in projects with Bryan Cranston.) But soon we'll all know him as the guy who co-starred with Nicolas Cage and John Cusack in "Frozen Ground." After all, every Nicolas Cage project is very, very memorable. [Variety]
