So there's going to be a remake of "Point Break," the 1991 action thriller directed by Kathryn Bigelow (yes, of "The Hurt Locker" and "Zero Dark Thirty" fame) and starring Keanu Reeves as a former pro football player turned FBI agent (whu?) who inflitrates a gang of surfer dudes led by the philosophy-spewing Bodhi (Patrick Swayze) who moonlight as masked bank robbers known as the Ex-Presidents (whoa!). Oh, and Gary Busey is in it, too.
We really don't know what Hollywood thinks it can gain by reworking an already perfect film, and one that is so much a product of its glorious time. With that in mind, we've conjured a list of ten other films from the best-ever decade of cinema (don't argue) that should never get a remake or a reboot or a re-imagining or whatever the hell the studio suits like to call it to make them feel better about the creative wasteland that is their jobs.
