Pick of the Week
Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena star in a gritty first-person account of street-level law enforcement as Taylor and Zavala, a pair of police officers who patrol the city's meanest streets of south central Los Angeles. Shot from the point of view of police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, dashboard cams and citizens caught in the line of fire, writer/director David Ayer crafts a portrait of the city's most dangerous corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.
See Michael Pena, Jake Gyllenhaal and Anna Kendrick in an exclusive deleted scene from 'End of Watch,' available on Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand and Digital Download.

Recently nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, this is the incredible true story of Rodriguez, the greatest '70s rock icon who never was. Discovered in a Detroit bar by two celebrated producers who were struck by his soulful melodies and lyrics, they recorded an album which they believed would secure his reputation as the greatest recording artist of his generation. But the album bombed and the singer disappeared into obscurity. Nonetheless, a bootleg recording found its way into apartheid South Africa and, over the next two decades, he became a phenomenon. The film follows the story of two fans who set out to find out what really happened to their hero.
