Ladies and gentleman the would-be princess has found her Prince Charming. We're talking in fairy tales of course, specifically the age old classic "Cinderella" and Disney's very buzzworthy upcoming live action adaptation.
Hot off the recent news that lovable "Downton Abbey" troublemaker Lily James landed the coveted and title role comes today's equally exciting announcement from the Mouse House that "Game of Thrones" star Richard Madden will be wooing the fair maiden as Prince Charming.

For those unfamiliar with Madden, you are in for a treat. We could just write him off as an obviously handsome gent who simply looks the part of a Prince, but in knowing his body of work, the most well-known being his fan-loved portrayal of the formidable yet compassionate family man and would-be king Robb Stark on "Game of Thrones," Madden has proven himself to be a respectable acting force to be reckoned with. Something else to admire about Madden that isn't directly related to his acting abilities, but does further add to his charm is that Scottish accent of his. Have a listen here for the delightful proof. No word yet of course as to whether Madden will get to use his native Burr in his portrayal of the Prince, but we can assume he'll be working an accent of some sort.
We're still waiting to hear about exact production plans from Disney, along with a release date but thus far "Cinderella" is making all the right moves. From all outward appearances, that is, this adaptation is certainly being given the cinematic royal treatment, particularly under the leadership of celebrated director/actor Sir Kenneth Branagh and with Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett going dark and villainous as the evil stepmother.
