Don’t expect to see “30 Rock” invading the Dolby Theater anytime soon. Tina Fey insists hosting the Oscars isn’t exactly on her to-do list.
When Seth MacFarlane opened the show on Sunday night, William Shatner was beamed in and prepared the “Family Guy” creator for how his hosting gig would be received by the media and otherwise. He even asked, “Why couldn’t they get Tina and Amy to host?” referring to the dynamic duo of Fey and her BFF Amy Poehler, who hosted the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.
However, MacFarlane’s response that they would be emceeing next year won’t be coming true.

“I just feel like that gig is so hard,” Fey, 42, told the Huffington Post. “Especially for, like, a woman – the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone … no way.”
Despite admitting she and Amy “had fun” hosting the Golden Globes, when the reporter confessed he was disappointed to hear a “no way” rather than “a one in a million chance,” she didn’t let him down easy.
“I wish I could tell you there was,” she said.
We probably won’t be seeing MacFarlane, 39, back again either, despite his hosting gig bringing with it an uptick in the ratings. When asked on Twitter if he would do it again if asked, the star responded, “No way. Lotta fun to have done it, though.”
Looks like we’re 0 for 2. Who would you like to see host next year? Let us know in the comments.
