You'd think that Kristen Stewart and Daniel Radcliffe taking the stage would conjure a lot of fan excitement -- after all, it isn't very often that Bella Swan and Harry Potter are seen in public together, much less as presenters at a major awards ceremony. However, there was just something about K.Stew being at the Oscars that brought on the bile in the twitter-verse … mostly involving her appearance.
Radcliffe got away unscathed (he usually does), but it was open season on Stewart as she showed up at the 85th Annual Academy Awards sporting her trademark facial expression that somehow manages to convey both disinterest and condescension … and on a set of crutches.

"I'm an idiot," Stewart responded when Josh Horowitz of MTV News asked her what happened. She then shrugged her shoulders, shook her head and moved on, leaving her makeup artist, Beau Nelson, to elaborate. "[She] cut the ball of her foot, quite severely, on glass two days ago," Nelson said to People.
That leaves us wondering just how Stewart managed to do that, but Joel McHale has a sound enough theory:
@joelmchale: Kristen Stewart is limping because she sprained her ankle from being excessively disinterested. #OscarsWithJoel
Stewart's hair was also the subject of ridicule, though many felt that it wasn't anything a good comb couldn't fix.
@SarahKSilverman: Is Kristen Stewart fundamentally against brushes?
@kathygriffin: Somebody get Kristin Stewart a rascal & some good old fashioned "pancake" make up for those bruises, oh & a comb
The "bruises" mentioned in that second tweet are in reference to the noticeable marks on Stewart's arms (where did those come from?), which inspired some rather extreme concern/ridicule.
@pattonoswalt: FYI, Kristen Stewart -- Russ Meyer & Sam Peckinpah knew how to cover arm bruises.
@rilaws: A little worried that Kristen Stewart is going to be in the In Memoriam.
In general, it was just kind of odd that Kristen Stewart was at the Oscars at all, seeing as that she's the star of the film that swept the Razzies just the night before. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" scored "wins," including Worst Picture, Worst Supporting Actor (Taylor Lautner), Worst Screen Couple (MacKenzie Foy and Taylor Lautner), Worst Director (Bill Condon), Worst Screen Ensemble, Worst Remake, Rip-off or Sequel … and, yes, Worst Actress (Stewart, who shared the honor with herself for her performance in "Snow White and the Huntsman" as well).
