“So happy to show you all the new teaser poster for ‘Beauty and the Beast,'” the former “Harry Potter” muggle revealed. “I hope you like it. Love Emma.”
Watson will star alongside former “Downton Abbey” star Dan Stevens, who will portray the Beast. The film’s other notable cast members include Luke Evans and Ian McKellen of “The Hobbit,” playing Gaston and Cogsworth, respectively, and Stanley Tucci in the role of Cadenza.
Disney’s animated version of “Beauty and the Beast” was the third-highest grossing film of 1991, as well as the first animated feature ever nominated for a best picture Oscar. The film also garnered the Academy Award for best original song for “Beauty and the Beast,” written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. Menken also composed the new songs for the film.
“Beauty and the Best,” directed by Bill Condon, will hit theaters on March 17, 2017.
