Ascot Elite Nabs German Rights to Several Pix

Ascot Elite has acquired all-rights in German-language territories to several high-profile pics.

The distrib picked up AIDS drama “Dallas Buyers Club,” which toplines Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto and Jennifer Garner, from Voltage, “Big Game,” which stars Samuel L. Jackson, from Altitude Films, and “Metallica – Through the Never 3D,” which combines a fictional narrative with live-performance footage, from Exclusive Media.

Other buys include Paris-based dramatic comedy “My Old Lady,” starring Maggie Smith, Kevin Kline and Jane Birkin, from Protagonist Pictures, soccer hooligan spoof pic “The Hooligan Factory” from Altitude Films, stereoscopic 3D toonpic “The Snow Queen” from Wizard Animation, and Renny Harlin’s Russia-set mystery drama “Devil’s Pass” from Aldamisa.

Ascot Elite also added to its release slate “Saving Santa 3D” from CMG Cinema Management Group. Pic features the voices of Martin Freeman, Noel Clarke, Tim Curry and Joan Collins.
