‘Army of One’ Exclusive Stills: Nicolas Cage Hunts Down Osama Bin Laden In Pakistan On A Mission From God

Nicolas Cage has already appeared in four feature films this year: the crime film “The Trust” opposite Elijah Wood and Sky Ferreira; Paul Schrader’s “Dog Eat Dog,” which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival; Oliver Stone’s political thriller “Snowden”; and Mario Van Peebles’ war film “USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage.” Yet, Cage has one more film on the horizon for 2016, and it’s easily the most bizarre out of his diverse slate: Larry Charles’ “Army of One,” about a man who travels to Pakistan to hunt down Osama bin Laden on a mission from God. Check out some exclusive stills from the film below.

Based on a true story as reported by GQ in 2010, the film follows Garry Faulkner (Cage), an ex-con and handyman who sees a vision of God (played by Russell Brand) that tells him he must travel to Pakistan in order to hunt down Osama bin Laden. Naturally, this raises the ire and curiosity of the U.S. government in the region, but that doesn’t stop the unhinged Faulkner from trying to complete his mission. The film co-stars Wendi McLendon-Covey (“Bridesmaids”), Rainn Wilson (“The Office”), Ken Marino (“Party Down”), Denis O’Hare (“True Blood”), and Paul Scheer (“The League”).
