'America's Got Talent' Names Season 12 Winner!

The 12-year-old ventriloquist was seriously stressing before her emotional victory in the season finale.

*Caution: Spoilers ahead!*

The most exciting and emotional season of America's Got Talenthas come to an end, and one of the show's most beloved stars has been crowned the new winner!

Twelve-year-old singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer walked away with the $1 million grand prize, after beating out runner up Angelica Hale. The new AGT champ tearfully embraced the 10-year-old singer after the winner was announced.

Since Farmer's first performance during the AGT season premiere --where she earned the Golden Buzzer from judge Mel B -- she's been one of the most popular contestants in the show's history.

Her clips have been viewed millions of times on YouTube, and many considered her an odds-on favorite to win after her impressive performance in the quarter-finals round.

During the finals on Tuesday, Farmer pulled out all the stops with an amazing routine that saw her singing a duet between two of her puppets, and even the judges were predicting that she was a lock to take home the grand prize.

"The best part of doing this job is when you are there and you can say, 'I was there at the beginning of someone's career and I witnessed a star,'" Simon Cowell praised after her appearance in the finals. "Tonight, again, I've just witnessed a star emerge, because that's what you are. You're special, incredible, funny, talented and I think you're going to win."

During the finale results show, Farmer took the stage with famed ventriloquist -- and previous AGT winner -- Terry Fator, and got the chance to shoot a pre-taped intro with comedian Jeff Dunham.

In her first appearance on the show, Farmer told the judges that one of her goals in competing was to reinvigorate interest in the dying art of ventriloquism, and her big win could go a long way toward making that dream a reality.

While Farmer was one of the fan favorites, she had some truly stiff competition from everyone else who had made it into the finals.

After weeks of spellbinding acts, moving musical performances and astounding feats of acrobatic mastery, the top 10 acts made it to the star-studded finale on Wednesday, and it seemed as though the victory could really have gone to any of the contestants.

Among the acts who made it to the finals alongside Farmer and Hale were inspirational singers Mandy Harvey, Kechi, and Evie Clair, and musician Chase Goehring.

There were a number of non-singing acts as well, including acrobatic performance group Diavolo, the Ukrainian dance crew Light Balance, dog trailer Sarah Carson and her puppy, Hero, and stand-up comic Preacher Lawson.

Harvey, the deaf songstress who impressed the judges time after time with her amazing original songs and beautiful voice, came in fourth place, just behind Light Balance, who took third.
