Amal Clooney Sparkles on the Red Carpet with George Clooney at Berlin Premiere of Hail, Caesar!

Amal Clooney stunned on the red carpet at the Berlin premiere for husband George Clooney's latest film Hail, Caesar!

Wearing a sparkling black column with tulle overlay – along with black pumps, red lipstick and matching clutch – the human rights lawyer turned heads at the 2016 Berlin International Film Festival Thursday.

The always debonair Clooney looked handsome in an all-black ensemble.

Earlier in the day, Clooney fielded questions at a festival press conference. As one of the most recognizable faces of Hollywood humanitarianism, Clooney also spoke out about the refugee crisis in Europe.

"The unfortunate thing about film community is we react to situations much more than we lead the way. Things happen, scripts are written, and it takes a couple of years before people are actually making films," he said, according to The Guardian.

"It also very difficult to just make a 'subject' film; you have to have a proper reason to do it. I've struggled to find ways to make a film about Sudan, about Darfur, something very close to me, and which I spend a lot of time on it – but I haven't been able to find the proper script," he continued. "It's hard enough to find a good script for anything, and you don't want to do it badly – because if you do you only get one chance."

Last night, the power couple were spotted dining out at Berlin's Grill Royal. Walking out of the restaurant hand-in-hand with her husband, Amal flashed her toned midsection between a pair of checked high-waisted trousers and a black crop top.

Before leaving for the German capital, the Clooneys enjoyed a cozy pre-Valentine's Day dinner with friends at their frequent haunt, sushi hotspot Asanebo in Studio City.

"They looked very happy. Both are adventurous sushi lovers," an eyewitness tells PEOPLE. "They enjoyed omakase meals with seasonal delicacies like firefly squid. They were affectionate. George had his arm around her. They seemed to have a great time."
