Harry, Ron, Hermione and many of their wizarding-world compatriots have recently made a triumphant debut on the stage in London, where the West End play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has elicited raves and broken ticket-sale records. Alas, given that it’s presently being performed in only one location in the world, Cursed Child isn’t a show available to everyone — which is why fans will no doubt be thrilled to hear that beginning in mid-October, they’ll be able to revisit J.K. Rowling’s fantasy saga on the biggest screens possible.

Designed to stoke excitement for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them — the new Rowling-based movie set in an earlier era of the Potter-verse — the original eight Harry Potter films will make their grand return on Imax screens across the country. While they haven’t been retrofitted for 3D (thankfully — who needs golden Quidditch snitches flying at your face?), the movies will be shown in succession for an entire week starting Oct. 13, meaning those looking for a marathon session of magic wands, glowing patronuses and otherworldly creatures should start marking their calendars now.

And if seeing the franchise projected in gigantic Imax proportions weren’t motivation enough, the Potter re-releases will also be accompanied by an Imax-exclusive sneak peek of Fantastic Beasts ahead of its Nov. 18 release.
