In the drama 'Jimi: All Is By My Side' opening Friday, André Benjamin plays a young Jimi Hendrix finding his musical footing in London. The actor, who usually goes by the name Andre 3000 as one-half of the group Outkast, delved deep to play the future rock god, losing 20 pounds, taking vocal training to learn Hendrix's speaking style, and even learning to convincingly fake-play the guitar left-handed.
