Happy Alien Day! In 2016, April 26 was dubbed Alien Day by 20th Century Fox to honor its beloved sci-fi horror Alien franchise. The late April date wasn’t picked at random — it’s a nod to where our slimy friends were first discovered in Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic: exmoon LV-426. To celebrate the big day, Yahoo Movies put together a top 5, ranking our favorite kills in the franchise.

We found that while the films that followed 1986’s Aliens might not have garnered the same critical acclaim, they still had some great, gory scenes worth giving some love.
