After taking 2015 off, it’s looking like Marvel Studios could be returning to San Diego Comic-Con this year.

While the studio is holding off from any official announcement regarding a Hall H appearance at this summer’s pop culture extravaganza (a request for comment from THR received no response), Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson and Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn took to Twitter Friday to drop a particularly unsubtle hint that fans can expect a significant Marvel presence this year:

The Disney-owned studio skipped the show last year, with sources saying the timing didn’t work for Marvel; Ant-Man was scheduled for release the week after 2015’s Comic-Con, and subsequent release Captain America: Civil War was still in production.

More likely was the fact that Disney was withholding information and footage for its own D23 convention the following month. That event debuted footage from Civil War, with the cast of the movie showing up on stage. Derrickson also appeared with all-new Doctor Strange concept artwork.

This year, however, there is no D23 convention, leaving Comic-Con as the best place to unveil new Doctor Strange footage ahead of the movie’s November release.

Additionally, both Thor: Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 are currently in production and might be able to debut footage, with studio president Kevin Feige hinting at upcoming announcements regarding the lead role and director for 2019’s Captain Marvel, offering the potential for quite a presentation.

San Diego Comic-Con runs July 21-24 at the San Diego Convention Center, with Preview Night on July 20.
