'Almost Famous' Flashback! Kate Hudson, Billy Crudup, and More on the Red Carpet Back in 2000
Fifteen years ago this month, moviegoers were introduced to the power chords of the fictional rock group Stillwater in director Cameron Crowe’s Almost Famous. Set in the 1970s, the drama was Crowe’s semi-autobiographical tale of a cub Rolling Stone reporter (Patrick Fugit) sent on tour with a band on the run and on the rise as they rocked hard, argued often, and found carnal comfort with a fetching collection of groupies (including Kate Hudson’s indelible Penny Lane.)
